Transmission

Each transmission is built with durability and performance as the top priorities. Every unit features a hard-anodized valve body and a new solenoid pack, ensuring consistent hydraulic control and long-term reliability. A custom valve body separator plate with upgraded gaskets increases line pressure while eliminating internal cross-leaks.

A heavy-duty cam-and-roller low reverse one-way clutch improves strength under load, while a new 4C billet spring retainer enhances clutch stability. The 2C piston is reinforced with a steel girdle, allowing for additional clutch capacity and a broader apply area. BD QT100 pressure plates reduce deflection and distortion inside the clutch drum, supporting higher clutch counts and improved durability.

Clutch capacity is significantly increased with a 33% increase in overdrive clutches and a 33% increase in 2C clutches. A custom Big Stack overdrive shaft and BD reinforced accumulator plate further strengthen the rotating assembly.

To address a known high-wear area, the TCC limit valve is machined and sleeved within the pump, improving pressure stability and longevity. A BD deep sump oil pan adds fluid capacity for enhanced cooling while also reducing case flex.

Hydraulic pressure is managed by the BD ProTech68 pressure control module, which ramps line pressure up to 250 PSI using MAP sensor input to adjust pressure based on engine load. This is a true performance transmission, upgraded with a billet input shaft to absorb shock from rapid throttle inputs and high-horsepower applications.

Torque Converter

The torque converter features an enhanced stall for improved performance and drivability. Machined pistons and heavy-duty springs help absorb engagement shock, while a stamp-forged, one-piece cover eliminates warpage caused by clutch heat. The taller cover design allows for more frequent rebuilds over the life of the converter.

A self-centering tooth design increases surface contact, reducing wear and chatter. A precision riveting process ensures proper alignment and eliminates vibration or embrittlement associated with welding. Furnace-brazed fins reduce internal leakage, improving fluid coupling efficiency.

Warranty

Parts are covered for 36 months or 150,000 miles, and labor is covered for 12 months or 24,000 miles.
